Since the American Academy of Pediatrics now recommends that babies sleep on their backs, they recommend that babies play on their tummies throughout the day. Tummy time is extremely important for babies to develop the muscles in their back, neck and trunk, so they can meet their infant development milestones. Sonoma doesn't mind tummy time that often, and she actually started rolling over from her tummy to her back at FIVE (5) days old! Last night she played on her tummy on our bed, and then she ended up falling asleep for a couple of hours while I got ready for my 1st Girl's Night Out! :)
