Animals, Friends & a City BBQ

Sonoma has had another busy week and weekend!  On Thursday we met Christin & Griffin at the Cosley Zoo in Wheaton.  They keep farm and local animals at this zoo, so it wasn't exotic by any means, but that didn't matter to Sonoma!  She LOVED all of the animals and her favorite were the llamas.  By the time we got home from the zoo, she was still talking about the llamas.

On Friday night we decided to visit some more animals, this time at Heritage Prairie Farm.  They have Wood Fire Artisan Pizza Nights on their patio, which is so perfect for little kids.  The kids can run around and play with the animals, while the adults can sit at picnic tables and enjoy pizza and wine.  There really isn't anywhere for the kids to escape, so it was a nice change from eating at a restaurant and chasing them around.
Such a sweet little goat!

After Sonoma's nap on Saturday, we drove into the city for a BBQ at Erin and Peter's apartment on Canal Street.  They have a fantastic apartment location, with a huge patio halfway up the top of their building.  We already had 3 sitters this past week, so we decided to bring Sonoma with us and we were so glad that we did!  She truly enjoyed running around the patio, collecting rocks, eating yummy food, and splashing in the rain puddles from all the morning storms.
