Marcus and I went on vacation with our friends, Jennifer and Joe Bertsch, Friday-Monday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It was our 5 year wedding anniversary.
It was a MUCH needed trip and we came back from Cabo feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! A lot of new parents are so hesitant to leave their babies behind, when in fact what they truly need the most is a get away! It's amazing what a little sunshine can do for you. I recommend that all new parents take a vacation. We seriously came back feeling so wonderful and Sonoma did fantastic.
We are so fortunate to have such sweet Grandparents. Grammy and Grandpa stayed the night Thursday-Sunday and Grandma stayed the night Saturday-Tuesday. We had a super early flight on Friday morning and didn't get back until Monday evening. Sonoma was a little angel, followed her schedule, and kept her Grandparents quite busy.
She kept trying to get Grammy's blackberry:
Sonoma went on a walk and a run with Grammy and Grandpa and spent lots of quality play time together.
Sonoma and Grandma did some grocery shopping together and spent time visiting with our friends, the Browns, who came from Evanston to visit Miss Sonoma.
Sonoma is SO grateful for her fun-loving Grandparents and can't wait to see them again in a few weeks. She says thank you very much for allowing Mommy and Daddy to have a good time :)
Sonoma and I are back in the swing of things and even contemplating some Christmas shopping this week!
Sonoma's hair is looking so blonde now!
