We love the city!

This Labor Day weekend we spent a whole day in downtown Chicago and had such a fabulous time! The weather was just perfect and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day in the city. Sonoma was dressed in her new Boston Terrier outfit, so she could look like Dixie :)

We spent the morning in the Member's Lounge outside at the Art Institute of Chicago enjoying the scenery and relaxing.

We ate lunch at Terzo Piano, on the upper level of the Art Institute. We snagged an outdoor table which had the most amazing view of the city. We agreed that it was the best lunch we have had in a long time. Sonoma napped in her stroller during lunch.

We walked around Buckingham Fountain and shopped along State Street during the afternoon.

To end our Labor Day weekend, we attended the downtown Naperville Labor Day parade and spent another lovely day outside on Monday. All weekend Sonoma slept from 6:30 pm until 6:00 am without waking up. We are so happy that the past few days she has been sleeping the night, but are a little sad her bedtime is so early. We have tried to stretch it out and wait until later, but she is so tired and cranky come 6:00 pm and wants to start her bedtime routine. Of course Marcus is more bummed than I am, since he doesn't get home from work until 5:45 pm. Sonoma is also taking 3-4 good naps in her crib every day that last from 45 minutes to 2 hours!

Tomorrow is her 4 month doctor's appointment, so I will be sure to give updates afterwards.

  1. Nice job sleeping through the night, Miss Sonoma! She's on the very same schedule as Griffin. I'm glad you guys had a gorgeous weekend in the city!
