Sonoma is 10 months! Double digits! I'm trying to enjoy each and every stage and treasure her last few months as a "baby." She certainly does not like to sit still in a chair or when she is on her changing table. She is always on the go....a very busy baby. We went shopping today at Stride Rite and Sonoma had her little feet measured for the very first time. We bought her a nice pair of shoes to wear since she is constantly standing and cruising. Once she starts walking, we will go back and buy her an official pair of walking shoes. She is still getting used to them and was acting a little crazy this afternoon when they were on her feet.
Sonoma continues to learn new things every day and is a very happy baby. This week she started doing "Soo big," pointing to her hair and nose when asked, and is waving bye and hi when prompted to do so. She knows what a lot of words mean - she will go get her "baby" out of her pile of toys if you ask her, she cries for her Ba Ba (bottle) when you say the words, and she definitely knows the word "snack." She also says "X" for Dixie, Mama, DaDa and Nana. Sonoma reads books and magazines all day every day, and recently started playing with decks of cards ;)
We are counting down the days for Daylight Savings Time (Just a week and a half away!) in hopes that Sonoma will sleep in just a little bit longer in the morning. We shouldn't complain though - she is still sleeping 11 hours a night, 7:00-7:15 pm until 6:15 am.
